Sea buckthorn is a true vitamin miracle. No other native plant can compete with the vitamin C content of this small fruit. With a vitamin C content of up to 450 mg, it far surpasses lemons and oranges. The berry, which grows on thorny shrubs up to 5m high, needs nothing more than light and the North Sea wind to thrive.

However, the plant was discovered late. In the southern part of Sweden, it served as a food source for the poor population in the 18th century. It was not until the 20th century that its potential as a health booster was recognized, and it has since been used continuously for juices and oils as well as medicines and cosmetics.

The available vitamin C, mixed with B vitamins, vitamin K, and beta-carotene, is not only soothing for body and mind but can replace expensive vitamin supplements with its complexity.

Located on a quieter section of the beach promenade with a magnificent Baltic Sea view, the Grand Hotel Binz stands. The hotel was built in the bath architecture style typical for Binz and consists of 4 interconnected buildings. The town centre is about 500 metres away.
