LOCATION: The Masseria Relais Santa Teresa occupies an ancient 17th-century farmhouse in the natural tranquillity of the Salento countryside. A skilful renovation process has transformed the traditional structure into a 4-star hotel, while keeping its spirit intact. The ancient masseria, with its fortified tower, walls, inner courtyard and outbuildings, is surrounded by pinewoods and ancient olive trees and bears witness to the area's rural history. In the courtyard, which also houses the large swimming pool, there is a carefully preserved rock garden rich in wild species, such as thyme, which gives off a very pleasant fragrance when in flower. Another highlight of the hotel is its restaurant, whose menu takes guests on a journey across land and sea to discover the flavours of the Salento region. Finally, the historic centre of Lecce, the seafront of Santa Maria di Leuca and the heart of Otranto are just over half an hour away.
