LOCATION: The Rocamar Lido Resort, which is made up of three hotels – the Royal Orchid, Rocamar and Cais de Oliveira – enjoys an excellent oceanfront location. Its position on top of a rocky promontory means you can enjoy magnificent views from the various terraces and panoramic restaurant. The outdoor areas boast several swimming pools and steps leading directly to the ocean. Guests can stay either in the studios and suites of the Royal Orchid hotel or in the rooms of the Rocamar hotel, and all accommodation is fully modernised and comfortably equipped. The complex also lies just ten kilometres from Funchal, and the city centre is easily accessible with a shuttle service provided by the hotel. From March to December, guests can also take advantage of the diving centre to explore the seabed of the Garajau nature reserve, or even the hotel's own reef.
