DISCOVERING MONTENEGRO WITH ACL: This tour will help you to discover Montenegro and, in particular, the finest attractions in the Tivat region. Magnificent landscapes, cultural wonders, tasty food and seaside visits will all feature on your 8-day trip. You'll be staying at the Iberostar Bellevue hotel, which offers excellent levels of comfort and service, and is a peaceful place to recharge your batteries between excursions!

DAY 1 (Tuesday): Outbound flight from Luxembourg to Tivat
Welcome by the ACL guide at Luxembourg airport. At 13:05, Luxair flight to Tivat, arriving at 15:10. Transfer to Budva and check-in at the 4-star Iberostar Bellevue hotel.
The rest of the day is free to enjoy the hotel's swimming pools, sports facilities and the beach.

DAY 2 (Wednesday): Cetinje and Kotor (approx. 100 km)
Departure from the hotel at 9:00.
This excursion will first take you to Cetinje, which was once the capital of the Kingdom of Montenegro. The city, nicknamed the "capital of the throne", is located in the heart of the mountains and today is home to the main residence of the Montenegrin president. It is also considered the main religious centre of the country. The tour continues with a visit to an apothecary using beehive products and a honey tasting.
This is followed by a lunch break in a restaurant in Njegusi where you will have the chance to taste the traditional cuisine. After lunch, you will visit Kotor, a picturesque town built on a rocky peak at the bottom of the Kotor Mouths and on the Adriatic Sea.
Return to the hotel around 17:00.

DAY 3 (Thursday): Free day

DAY 4 (Friday): Old town of Bar and Skadar lake (about 160 km)
Departure from the hotel at 08:00.
The day begins with a visit to Stari Bar, a historic village of ruins at the foot of the mountains which is an architectural marvel from the Byzantine period. You will see dry-stone houses, a church and steep alleys, all overlooking the bay.
You will then have lunch at the Jezero Vranjina restaurant located in the visitors' centre of the Skadar Lake Nature Reserve. Next, you will head to Virpazar for a 2-hour cruise on the lake. The lake is the largest lake in Southern Europe and its nature reserve is home to the largest concentration of birdlife in Europe, as well as unique plants!
Return to the hotel at around 17:00.

DAY 5 (Saturday): Free day

DAY 6 (Sunday): Lake Biograd (about 350 km)
Departure from the hotel at 8:00.
On the way to the lake, you will stop to visit the second largest canyon in Europe. It is located at the source of the Moraca, a river in the north of Montenegro that meanders for several dozen kilometres and feeds Lake Skadar. You will also visit the medieval monastery of Moraca, one of the most important Orthodox monasteries in the country.
Afterwards, you will have a lunch break in the Mirovic restaurant, before heading back to the Biogradska Gora National Park, where Lake Biograd is located. It is the smallest national park in the country and home to one of the oldest forests in Europe! The trees are over 40 metres tall and over 500 years old.
Return to the hotel around 18:00.

DAY 7 (Monday): Free day

DAY 8 (Tuesday): Return flight from Tivat to Luxembourg
Transfer to Tivat airport. Return flight at 16:00 with Luxair to Luxembourg. Arrival at Luxembourg airport at 18:15.
